I'm Devin Lynch.
I started playing music in the first grade and fell in love with the guitar. My dedication to music, alongside my involvement in sports (playing six in total), shaped me into a self-driven individual. Baseball and football were my main sports, eventually leading me to play football at the University of Colorado as an Inside Linebacker. The resilient work ethic and adaptability I cultivated through these experiences have greatly contributed to my success.
My engineering journey began between my sophomore and junior years of undergrad. I was training for fall camp and the upcoming football season, having recently completed a statistics course the prior fall. With some extra time on my hands, I decided to teach myself Machine Learning to build a trading bot that could run while I was at practice. My football schedule, starting before sunrise and ending in the early afternoon (plus classes the rest of the day), meant I would miss the entire trading day. Through this experience, I developed a deep passion for engineering.
After my football career ended, I felt a bit lost and uncertain about my future. I took an internship in finance but quickly realized it wasn't the right fit for me. My engineering mindset drew me towards the tech world. Without a clear direction, I took a gap year to explore different skills. Initially, I got caught up in learning through tutorials without mastering anything. I then shifted my approach to building projects I was passionate about, which ultimately led to my first engineering role.
Today, I am pursuing a Master's in Computer Science, currently holding a 4.0 GPA. I have a strong passion for creating innovative solutions and continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow. I am always open to connecting with others and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
